Benelli TRK 502 X
Although this is an A2 license ready bike, the TRK 502 X is very much a full-sized adventure bike with the beefy, long travel suspension to match.
I was really impressed with this machine, because given the price it doesn't feel budget at all!
I was surprised by the up-close stance, this is a proper big adventure bike, there's no doubt about it.
The X version is simply a brilliant-value all-rounder and you can also get it with matching X style luggage and heated grips.
Although it could be a bit lighter on the waist, it clearly doesn't show it when you're riding it. On British roads the suspension does a great job with the odd pot holes, the seat is nice and wide and the handlebars are in a neutral position. Never have I felt the need to stop during my ride, thanks to its set up from stock.
You can't fault the build quality and the functionality, it comes with twin disc brakes, 50mm inverted forks, 12v socket, hand guards, main stand and luggage rack.
The engine is a 500cc parallel twin, making just about 47bhp, the same as on the Honda CB500X. Although it does feel a little slower (due to the TRK’s extra weight), but it is smooth and has a nice mid-range. The gearbox is slick, very nice to use, the exhaust note is lovely and overall the package is very tempting for whoever is looking for a full-size adventure bike and doesn't want to break the bank!
